Renting a dumpster in Sturgeon Bay

The ship canal splits Sturgeon Bay in two, and three bridges carry everything across it. The old county landfill in the Town of Nasewaupee is closed and is now only monitored and tested by the Door County Highway Department, so waste generated here is consolidated and hauled out of the county. The named local facility is the Door County Transfer Station at 1509 Division Road in Sturgeon Bay, operated by GFL Environmental, a weekday drop-off site closed Saturday and Sunday. Which gate a load actually goes through is the hauler's call and happens after your pickup, so it is not something you have to arrange, though the weekday-only schedule is worth knowing when a job wraps up on a Friday.
